Cambridge UKG

Our Upper Kindergarten (UKG) program follows the Cambridge Early Years Curriculum blended with the Montessori approach, ensuring children are fully prepared for the transition into formal schooling. At this stage, learning becomes more structured, with a strong focus on building literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, and social skills in a joyful and engaging way.

Key Highlights of the Cambridge UKG Program:

  • Language & Literacy – Strengthening phonics, sight words, sentence reading, early comprehension, and creative writing.
  • Mathematics – Number operations (addition, subtraction), introduction to multiplication concepts, place value, time, money, and measurement.
  • Knowledge & Understanding of the World – Science experiments, environmental studies, simple geography, and community awareness activities.
  • Personal, Social & Emotional Growth – Encouraging leadership, responsibility, problem-solving, and teamwork.
  • Creative Arts – Drawing, craft, music, dance, role play, and storytelling for creative expression.
  • Montessori Integration – Advanced sensorial and practical life activities to strengthen independence, concentration, and logical thinking.
  • Physical Development – Games, yoga, sports, and outdoor activities to build stamina, coordination, and healthy habits.
  • Global Perspective – Activities that introduce children to cultures, values, and diversity as promoted by the Cambridge curriculum.

By the end of UKG, children develop confidence, independence, and academic readiness, equipping them for a smooth transition to Grade 1 in the Cambridge pathway.
